Today I leave for retreat with the staff and leadership of NCC! The title of the conference is "Greater Things" inspired by the Chris Tomlin song 'God of this City'. Awhile ago Pastor Mark encouraged us to download the song and listen to it everyday. It's amazing because it has become our prayer for Washington, DC. We believe that there truly is no one like our God and that He has greater and greater things in store. Our minds are often limited to what we can see or imagine, but this song reminds me that all we need is faith! We're believing for greater things for this city, for the leadership, for the church, and for our personal lives. What greater things are you believing God for? Trust that He has it all figured out. He wants us to experience these greater things, but we need to have faith! Work like it depends on you and PRAY LIKE IT DEPENDS ON GOD!
I tell you the truth, anyone who has faith in me will do what I have been doing. He will do even greater things than these, because I am going to the Father. And I will do whatever you ask in my name, so that the Son may bring glory to the Father. You may ask me for anything in my name, and I will do it.

God would you give us a heart to fully trust Your greater plans. You promise that Your thoughts are higher than our thoughts and Your ways purer than our ways. We seek Your thoughts and Your ways and ask for you to give us faith to believe for greater things than our human minds can even imagine!
